Northwood, OH – November 10, 2022
Telesystem, a leading provider of nationwide managed technology solutions, has announced the addition of industry veteran Strickland Jones to lead its wholesale and resale sales efforts nationwide.
Jones will take on the newly created role of Wholesale Sales Manager, where he will be responsible for increasing the sale of Telesystem’s product portfolio to service providers, MSPs, and resellers across the United States. The focal points of this new initiative will be headlined by Telesystem’s on-net fiber assets in select markets, as well as its dual soft-switching platforms, WIFI Engagement and Analytics, and both managed and cyber security products and services. The majority of Telesystem’s services are delivered over its 100G coast-to-coast low latency network, which includes active, always-on DDoS mitigation into every network point of presence.
Jones has been a veteran of the telecommunications industry since 1998, having worked on both the service provider and agent side of the business. His most recent success came as Managing Partner for two different startup agencies, TVX Partners (2014 to 2018) and Global Technology Marketplace (2018 to 2022). Jones will draw on his years of experience cultivating relationships with key decision makers at service providers, as well as VARs and MSPs that are interested in bundling resold services that bill to the end user.
"I am very excited to be joining Telesystem and contributing to the expansion of our Wholesale Sales Program. Telesystem has been a long-term business partner of mine, and it's fitting that I've joined a team of people who have always felt like family to me," said Strickland. "The care and support behind our products and services are truly unparalleled by our competitors, and I look forward to expanding our product portfolio even further and working closely with clients on their wholesale needs."
Telesystem recently acquired the cybersecurity provider Threat Protector, which includes a full suite of cybersecurity services designed to counter emerging threats. Telesystem intends to incorporate some of Threat Protectors' unique capabilities into this new wholesale offering as well.
“I am thrilled to get Strickland on board to lead the charge for our wholesale program,” said Robert Martin, Director of Sales and Marketing. “I'm passionate about the opportunity to differentiate our wholesale offering from others, as we aim to provide the same quality experience to wholesalers and resellers that our retail customers experience today. Strickland has a long tenured career in the technology industry, and I am confident in his ability to generate revenue through new and existing partnerships.”
Telesystem’s core go-to-market strategy revolves around developing technology solutions for SME organizations that value a trusted layer of expertise, and a managed experience that allows them to focus on their own business rather than vendor management. It boasts a nationwide low-latency network to offer voice, networking, managed security, and cybersecurity coast to coast. Strategically, new retail business opportunities are mostly driven through the technology brokerage channel. Telesystem has umbrella agreements with major Technology firms like Scansource, Telarus, TBI, and Appsmart, among others.
