Telesystem to Acquire Managed Services Provider VoxNet

Northwood, OH – July 14, 2021 - Telesystem announced today that it has agreed to acquire the assets of Pennsylvania-based managed services provider VoxNet, previously part of the holdings of Helm Partners.  VoxNet provides unified communications, managed security services, and Internet access to end user customers in 38 states.

“Our national growth strategy is comprised of organic and inorganic means of growth,” said John Martin, President and Chief Executive Officer at Telesystem.  “We hope to repeat activities like this in markets across the United States.”

Telesystem is a nationwide provider of communication, collaboration, infrastructure, and managed security solutions, with a focus on multi-site, multi-product, fully managed solutions.  Their nationwide network includes more than 40 points of presence, over 100 network to network interface (NNI) appearances with other providers, and always-on DDoS mitigation at major Internet ingress and egress points.

“This acquisition represents our desire to acquire customers in strategic markets that are a fit for managed solutions,” added Telesystem EVP and Chief Business Development Officer Bruce Wirt.  “We came out of the pandemic in a very strong position to supplement our organic growth with strategic acquisitions, especially where we can acquire customers that fit our target profile.”

The acquired customers will enjoy enhanced functionality through Telesystem’s world-class unified communication platforms, the added geographic redundancy from Telesystem’s low-latency nationwide network, and access to advanced SD-WAN and managed security products carefully designed to suit each customer’s unique needs.

“Our goal is to provide excellent customer support for the best-in-class technology options in each service silo,” said Telesystem EVP and Chief Operations Officer Denton Parson.  “We take the approach to have our internal staff support and manage the comprehensive solutions that we put to market.  With Fortinet’s growing popularity in the marketplace, it makes great strategic sense to receive both the talent and intelligence that comes with the VoxNet acquisition.”

Telesystem places great focus on the national partner channel as part of their sales strategy, driven mostly through national brokerage firms.  They employ geographically dispersed regional and national channel managers to support agent partnerships, and customer account managers that work with sales agents to retain and grow customer accounts.  All Telesystem implementations receive dedicated project management and on-site installation.
