Telesystem's Solution Deployed to Prepare for Future Growth and Enhance Network Redundancy
TOLEDO, Ohio – June 24, 2013 – Today, Telesystem announced that ProMedica, a mission-based, nonprofit healthcare system in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, has selected Telesystem for its latest network expansion. The enhancement will ensure ProMedica is capable of meeting future growth demands, while continuing to increase network redundancy and reliability.
ProMedica sought a networking solution that would keep up with the rising technology demands and strict regulations of the healthcare industry, as well as sustain the speed and scale of the company's growth. Overseeing 320 facilities in 27 counties, ProMedica was in need of additional network and storage capacity, given the increasing amount of multimedia information required to be accessed and pushed from one facility to another.

Telesystem is utilizing carrier-class DWDM equipment to provide Fibre Channel for SAN Storage backup plus E-Line and E-LAN services. Each signal or service is then carried on its own separate wavelength.
