Northwood, OH – January 26, 2023
Telesystem, a leading provider of nationwide managed technology solutions, has announced the promotions of Brian Buchman to ‘Senior Manager, Channel Sales’, and Ryan Tims to ‘Manager, Channel Sales – West’ to support the continued expansion of their channel program.
Buchman joined the Telesystem team in 2014 as an account executive. He joined the channel in 2016, taking a regional channel manager position in the mid-Atlantic, and later became a National Channel Manager in 2019. Buchman's outstanding track record of leadership and sales success combined with his keen grasp of the channel landscape led him to being promoted to ‘Manager, Channel Sales – East’ in 2021.
In his new role, Buchman will lead the Telesystem channel sales team nationwide, with a focus on overall program management, partner development, market and vertical specific campaigns, and tools that assist partner sales enablement; these programs will help partners and ultimately end users achieve greater business success with Telesystem’s product portfolio.
"I have now had the opportunity to work with Brian for seven years," said Telesystem Chief Revenue Officer, Bruce Wirt. "Regardless of his role in the company, he has always exuded leadership and accountability. He does not fall into the negative traps that can swallow people up in this industry, and he knows how to display energy and positivity in the toughest of times. He has learned to see the playing field from higher and higher elevations, and I believe that the combination of those qualities will make him an excellent senior leader."
“I’m excited for the next phase of my career with Telesystem,” said Buchman. "Having been a member of the Telesystem team for eight years, I have witnessed the company's amazing growth. I am excited to embark on this journey, and I look forward to a successful 2023 with the team we have assembled across the country, including the brokers and partners that contribute to our success.”
Ryan Tims joined the Telesystem team in 2018 as a sales engineer, where his subject matter expertise contributed to the deployment of hundreds of successful installations. He helped partners better understand the value of Telesystem’s products and services, while simultaneously forging strong relationships at all levels of the channel ecosystem. Tims’ demonstrated ability to drive revenue development through partner sales enablement gives enhanced value to Telesystem, as it continues to increase market penetration in the western US.
In his new role as ‘Manager, Channel Sales – West’, Tims will be responsible for the development and success of Telesystem’s team of regional channel managers in the mountain and pacific time zones. Regional channel managers are responsible for assisting selling partners with sales efforts in a defined geographic territory.
"I am ecstatic to take on the role of ‘Manager, Channel Sales- West," said Tims. "Beginning as a sales engineer allowed me to understand the in-depth value of our products and services. I've always enjoyed collaborating with our team of Regional Channel Managers to demonstrate the capabilities of our products to partners, assisting them to translate that value to their customers," Tims added. "Telesystem has the people and solutions it needs to continue becoming a household name for business technology solutions, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of Telesystem’s continued growth and success."
"I've had the pleasure of observing Ryan's development as a Sales Engineer over the past four years, during which we've collaborated closely. I felt he would be a natural fit to fill the ‘Manager, Channel Sales – West’ role with how well he has supported our RCMs and our partner community throughout the country," said Buchman. "Ryan is extremely goal-oriented and motivated, and I am thrilled to have him on my team. We eagerly anticipate his contributions to Telesystem in 2023!"
