Northwood, OH – August 2nd, 2022 -
Telesystem has announced the hiring of technology solutions channel veteran Brad Weege as a national channel manager, serving our Elite level technology solutions brokers (TSB) in the western United States. Weege most recently served as national channel manager at Intrado for the last 10 years. In his new role, Weege will have responsibility for Telesystem TSB’s including Telarus, Intelisys, and Sandler Partners.
National channel managers are focused on brand evangelism, partner development, product positioning, event and campaign planning, and partner education at the TSB level. They work in tandem with Telesystem’s regional channel managers, which are responsible for assisting technology distributors with quotes, demonstrations, and sales activity.
“Brad is an excellent complement to the growing channel management at Telesystem,” commented Ron McNab, Manager, Channel Sales - West at Telesystem. “National channel managers are tasked with using their expansive relationships at the TSB level to ultimately drive sales activity down to our regional channel managers in each geography. Brad’s existing relationships will ensure his rapid contribution to the team.”
”Telesystem has become quite the destination lately for talented technology professionals, and I’m extremely excited to join this team,” said Weege. “I have great relationships with the TSBs I will be working with, and I’m excited to expand the reach of Telesystem in each of those portfolios. I believe in putting others first and the rest will work itself out, and that mindset has fueled my channel success.”
Telesystem’s channel program has seen tremendous growth over the last year, with a 42% increase in active partners, and more than a 200% increase in selling partner onboardings quarter over quarter. A partner onboarding is when a new selling partner (formerly called a sub agent) is signed up under a broker (formerly called a master agent) and is trained to sell Telesystem services.
“Brad is a great fit to the Telesystem team and the company culture,” said Telesystem Chief Revenue Officer Bruce Wirt. “We want people to think about trust when then think about anything related to Telesystem, especially our employees. Brad is a trusted member of the channel community with numerous relationships at all levels, and I’m glad to welcome him to this winning team!
